In a relatively short time Indianhead International School (IIS) has earned a distinguished reputation. IIS offers a comprehensive college preparatory education with an international perspective to children from around the world. The language of instruction in all three divisions of IIS is English. However, to meet the needs of home country nationals IIS also offers courses in Korean language and culture. In addition to the standard American secondary school program, the IIS high school division offers an AP degree program. IIS is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

IIS students enjoy the benefit of highly qualified and caring teachers, experienced leadership, and sound management. The faculty of IIS consists of some of the best and brightest teachers and administrators in the field of international education. IIS’s recruiting team interviews and selects superlative candidates from all possible sources. IIS staff is kind, caring, dedicated to the success of all students, and committed to ongoing professional growth.

The school’s focus since its inception has been the attainment of the highest standards of educational excellence. Presently, IIS is among the finest educational institutions in the region, and as the learning community grows IIS remains committed to the constant improvement of its educational program. IIS educates students in the great tradition of American style college preparatory school education while incorporating the strengths of the student’s own cultures. The IIS culture is model of progressive educational programming, offering students the opportunity to realize their maximum potential in a positive, stimulating, and safe environment conducive to intellectual, physical, and emotional development. The IIS curriculum complements core subjects like English, mathematics, pure and social sciences with equally strong elective programs in world languages, health and physical education, and the fine arts.

The school’s chief objective is to build each student’s foundation of skills. We do this by developing core skills in tandem with higher order creative thinking abilities and a passion for learning. Additionally, IIS fosters character development and a sense of civic responsibility. As humanity’s collective body of knowledge continues to grow at an exponential rate, IIS provides its’ students with the essential tools needed to succeed as architects of the future in an increasingly complex and integrated world. IIS students graduate as inspired, clear and critical thinkers, and just as importantly, as honorable, and responsible citizens who contribute positively to society.
