Graduate School of Management, La Trobe University

The Graduate School of Management (GSM) was established in 1997 as part of the Faculty of Law and Management at La Trobe University and is a leading provider of postgraduate and post-experience management education and training services, nationally and internationally. Core offerings include an MBA, Master of International Business, a Study Abroad Postgraduate Business Administration Program, a PhD Program, a customised Executive Education/Consultancy Program, together with short course education and training programs. The School’s dedicated facilities are adjacent to the Melbourne Bundoora Campus and provide students with personalised and dedicated facilities and services.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Associated Programs

1. MBA
2. GDBA (Graduate Diploma in Business Administration)
3. GCBA (Graduate Certificate in Business Administration)

La Trobe University's MBA and associated programs (GDBA and GCBA) are intensive and rigorous and are renowned for their flexibility and extensive range of unit offerings. This inherent flexibility allows students to pursue a general management program with units covering the many and varied areas of contemporary management practice. The programs are targeted at managers operating in both the private and public sectors who wish to upgrade and/or broaden their general management skills.

The courses are designed to enable graduates to tackle problems creatively in order to achieve optimum results for their organisations. They achieve this by striking a balance between theory and practice and by providing both synthetic and real case settings within which theory may be enacted and tested for effect.

The quality of the student learning experience is underpinned by the use of senior, highly qualified and experienced teachers, each of whom has operated in a corporate headquarters setting and has published scholarly articles in his/her respective field.

Students will have the opportunity of interacting with managers from various industries and countries and/or exchanging ideas and experiences.

La Trobe University's MBA has been specifically structured to suit the needs of students with active professional careers and can be completed in 12 - 15 months of full-time study. A feature of the program is its 4 term academic year, which provides students with flexible study options, including a wide range of unit offerings and different modes of unit delivery.

The La Trobe University MBA provides a truly international learning experience.

This is a great chance to take control of your future.
