History

InCharge Debt Solutions was established as a Nevada nonprofit credit counseling organization in 1997. In 2000 the corporate headquarters was moved to Orlando, Florida.

Education

InCharge Debt Solutions offers free credit counseling and money management education services throughout the United States. After reviewing your personal situation, your credit report information and your income, assets and debts with you, we will have a better picture of your situation and be able to recommend solutions to you. In some cases, a Debt Management Program is the answer, but that is not always the case. A certified credit counselor explains each solution to you, pointing out the advantages and disadvantages of each. After doing so, you choose the option that is right for you.

The organization’s website, www.inCharge.org, has a wealth of educational material available free of charge. Included are topical articles, interactive tools, and extensive question & answer and reference links sections.

InCharge also sponsors personal finance workshops throughout the country held in response to corporate requests, and some in conjunction with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, academic institutions and others where the general public is invited. Additionally, www.inCharge.org, includes a free personal finance course called “Mind Your Finances,” a twelve-module class that covers topics such as understanding credit reports, credit terms and definitions, responsible use of credit, creating spending plans, goal setting, and other core financial skills.

Industry Accreditations

InCharge is a member of the Association of Independent Consumer Credit Counseling Agencies (AICCCA). It was given the National Business Research Institute’s (NBRI) “Circle of Excellence” recognition as part of NBRI’s “Circle of Excellence Awards” for 2010. InCharge also has been selected for eight consecutive years by the Orlando Sentinel as one of the “Top 100 Companies for Working Families.”
