KIS International School is a place where children love to learn. There is a strong sense of community on the green and spacious campus, close to the centre of Bangkok. KIS is well-equipped with libraries, playgrounds, an arts centre, a 500 seat auditorium, tennis courts, laboratories, pitches, a swimming pool and more. Teachers at KIS play a vital role in encouraging students’ desire to learn. They are a group of vibrant, supportive and above all, exceptional educators.

Curriculum

KIS International School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, founded in 1998. Students at KIS learn through a rigorous curriculum, international in its approach to people, knowledge, values and skills. Our school is authorized by the IB to offer all three IB Programmes. The IB is an international curriculum that was founded over 40 years ago by a team of international academics in Europe. The IB was developed specifically to provide a consistent, transferable, high quality international education (including a recognized university acceptance qualification) for families who move around the world. It is taught in over 3,300 schools and more than 140 countries. The IB programmes are independent of any national curriculum or national government, yet they also incorporate major aspects of many curricula throughout the world. This allows students to learn within a curriculum that has consistency and continuity, that is developed for students to reach their potential and that is not influenced by politics and changes in government.

The IB has three programmes: the Primary Years Programme for children 3 to 11 years old, Middle Years Programme for children 12 to 16 years old and the renowned IB Diploma Programme for students 16 to 19 years old.

KIS Founding Head of School, Ms. Sally Holloway, holds a seat on the global IB Board, ensuring close links with the IB. Our school is also an accredited member of the Council of International Schools (CIS). Locally, we are licensed by the Thai Ministry of Education and are an active member of the International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT). KIS academic faculty is exceptionally proficient in teaching all IB programmes due to the large numbers of additional IB qualifications held by staff. Our faculty includes one IB Board Member, two Global Workshop Evaluators, as well as Workshop Leaders, Global Examiners, PYP Authorisers and Team Leaders.
