NIU College of Engineering & Engineering Technology’s mission of combining theory with practice ensures that its programs are industry-driven, and that its graduates are functional. Class instruction combines best practices of teaching excellence with applied research, thereby preparing students to work effectively in a global economy.
All four departments in the college offer a master’s program and the opportunity for an integrated B.S./M.S. program. All programs in the college are accredited by the leading organizations in their respective fields. All of the engineering and engineering technology programs are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). One technology program is accredited by ATMAE. The college also offers numerous undergraduate and graduate certificates.
