The Baptist Center for Cancer Care is the only health care system in West Tennessee to offer the CyberKnife ® radiosurgery system —a precise, fast, non-invasive treatment for tumors.

CyberKnife is the world’s first robotic radiosurgery surgery system, and can treat both cancerous and noncancerous tumors anywhere in the body. CyberKnife can be used to treat cancer of the prostate, lung, brain, spine, liver, pancreas and kidney. The treatment delivers beams of high-dose radiation to tumors with extreme accuracy. It can even track the tumor motion throughout the treatment, ensuring a minimal amount of dosage to healthy tissue and shorter treatments.

The CyberKnife is another tool in the fight against tumors, and treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy, and Cyberknife may be used in combination for a comprehensive care plan.
