Sundown Ranch is a treatment facility designed to meet the needs of individuals suffering from chemical dependency and related co-occurring psychiatric disorders. Our primary purpose is to provide quality services to adolescents and young adults, male and female, ages 12 to 24. The ranch, 450 acres of rolling hills, lakes and trees, provides a highly structured and individualized program in an environment where young people can learn to live free of drugs and alcohol. In combating their dependency, clients develop a sense of personal identity, and strengthen their self-esteem and self-confidence. The open peaceful environment-a contrast to the institutional, hospital-like atmosphere of many rehabilitation facilities is part of the treatment and therapy. Sundown Ranch is dedicated to helping young people and their families.

Sundown Ranch offers all levels of care, aftercare planning and an academic program to address the varying needs of each recovering client. Our staff is committed to assisting each client on his or her journey to abstinence and mental wellness. A team of drug and alcohol abuse professionals make up the Sundown Ranch clinical staff. They are chosen for their expertise and their sensitivity to the problems and emotions of young people. The staff represents all major disciplines in drug and alcohol abuse treatment including psychiatry, addiction medicine, nursing, social work, psychology, chemical dependency counseling, and marriage and family therapy. It is our belief that recovery is possible with the right assistance. We recognize the broad dimensions of chemical dependency and related disorders, and provide for the individual needs of the adolescents and young adults through the service of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.
Services include Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, Specialty Groups, Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Chemical Education, Relapse Prevention, Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Psychological and Psychiatric Services, Medical and Nursing Services, Academic Programming and Counseling, Physical Activities, Art Therapy, Equine Therapy and Experiential Group Therapy (“Ropes”). A major focus of our treatment program is family therapy that includes counseling and education which enables family members to share, understand and help in the rehabilitation process. At the monthly Ranch Family Day, specific activities are designed to build relationships and enhance communications. The family program is enhanced by a monthly, two day Intensive Family Program which combines extensive chemical education, family systems model counseling, multi-family therapy and experiential work to heal wounds and rebuild bridges. If you or a loved one is in need of help for the treatment of alcoholism, drug addiction, and or a psychiatric disorder, Sundown Ranch offers an effective plan to begin the recovery process.
