Drexel Cardiology™ treats:
Heart Attack, Coronary Artery Disease, and Peripheral Artery Disease
In our cardiac catheterization lab, our highly experienced interventional cardiologists diagnose arterial blockages and restore blood flow with angioplasty, stenting and other artery-opening treatments.
Irregular Heartbeat
We treat irregular heartbeats, or arrhythmia, with medication and in some cases, we may eliminate many of these arrhythmias with advanced procedures known as ablations. Other heart rhythm problems may also be treated with pacing devices to improve heart function.
Advanced Heart Failure Treatment
We are widely known for innovation in the treatment of heart failure, including the use of state-of-the-art mechanical devices. When heart transplantation is performed, our team of experts work together to ensure the best care before and after surgery. We helped to introduce the use of molecular blood testing to detect organ rejection in post-transplant patients. This test has reduced the need to perform numerous invasive cardiac biopsies and introduced new therapies that may more successfully prevent complications that occur after transplant.
Risk Assessment and Prevention
In addition to exceptional diagnostic and treatments, Drexel Cardiology™ offers risk assessments to test for cardiac diseases before symptoms arise. You can also discuss changes in lifestyle for optimum health and disease prevention.
We collaborate with nurses, nutritionists, and psychologists to offer you the most comprehensive services all in one location. At Drexel Cardiology™, you not only receive personalized care, but actively participate in the decision-making process.
