Huntington Reproductive Center

Huntington Reproductive Center

Since its inception in 1988, Huntington Reproductive Center has been a leader in reproductive medicine and has focused on introducing and perfecting new procedures on the cutting edge of reproductive technology. With five locations (Fullerton, Laguna Hills, Pasadena, Tarzana and Westlake Village) and eight physicians (Drs. Robert Boostanfar, Jane Frederick, Michael Feinman, Bradford Kolb, Jeffrey Nelson, Daniel Potter, John Wilcox and I. Lane Wong), HRC is one of the largest reproductive centers on the West Coast. In fact, several thousand babies have been born to happy parents across the United States and around the world!

HRC has become internationally recognized for its state-of-the-art research and facilities and successful reproductive treatments resulting in consistently superior birth rates. It offers the latest technologies, including Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis, which allows genetic screening prior to embryo transfer. An estimated 60 percent of all naturally occurring reproductive losses in pregnancies are associated with chromosomal abnormalities (such as Down syndrome, sickle cell anemia, Tay-Sachs and Huntington disease) in the embryo. PGD can help some couples with infertility, recurrent miscarriage and known genetic diseases to successfully have a healthy baby

Embryo

In addition to groundbreaking technologies, HRC offers the best treatment for artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, egg donation, gestational surrogacy, gender selection, embryo adoption, microfertilization, microhatching, sterilization reversals, PESA sperm recovery technique as an alternative to vasectomy reversal or for failed vasectomy reversal.

HRC, in partnership with GIVF is currently investigating the only proven gender selection technology presently available. This technology is called MicroSort® * and is now available at MicroSort® West in southern California. MicroSort® is now being utilized as part of an FDA clinical trial for preconception gender selection process and offers couples the ability to increase the chance of having a child of the desired gender to reduce the probability of X-linked diseases, such as hemophilia or Duchenne muscular dystrophy, or for family balancing. Utilizing new flow cytometric separation technology, the X (female) or Y (male) chromosome-bearing sperm can be sorted and the enriched fraction of sorted sperm used to achieve pregnancy. As of January, 2004, more than 500 pregnancies have been achieved using MicroSort®; 419 babies have been born so far with many more due to deliver.

The doctors and staff at HRC strive to maintain the highest standard of care in reproductive medicine, and work in partnership with our patients to help them make choices that are medically, ethically, and financially appropriate for them.

In addition to our highly qualified and respected physicians, HRC is staffed by an exceptional group of support personnel, embryologists, nurses and laboratory experts who have contributed to making the center one of the most sought after and successful infertility clinics in the nation.

For more than a decade, the staff at HRC has helped couples achieve their dreams of having a family. They can do the same for you.
