Deakin University students have a post graduation employment success rating consistently above the average of Australian universities. This reflects the professional relevance of all Deakin University courses. For example, all business courses offered by the University provide a range of accreditation and recognition pathways through to professional bodies, such as the Australian Computer Society, the Australian Institute of Management, the Financial Planning Association and the Institute of Engineers, Australia. Deakin University’s innovative and well-known MBA was introduced in 1980. This versatile degree comprises eight compulsory units and four electives selected from over 60 units. Strengths include on- and off-campus study options, intensive residential study units, online materials and assignments.

The Deakin Master of Commerce is a flexible degree incorporating nine elective units and three compulsory units. Unlike the MBA, no prior work experience is required. Popular electives topics include Accounting, eCommerce, Financial Planning and Commercial Law.
The Deakin Master of International Business incorporates eight compulsory international business and four elective units. This degree does not require prior work experience. Electives include Financial Markets, International Trade and Policy and International Commercial Law.
Deakin now offers a range of exciting double master degrees. These degrees comprise a total of sixteen compulsory and elective units – equivalent to two years full time study. Combined degree combinations include MBA/MCom, MBA/MeCom, MIB/MCom.
