Founded in 1928, Hope International University is comprised of three colleges; Pacific Christian College (PCC), School of Graduate Studies (SGS) and School of Professional Studies (SPS). Enrollment for the three schools is approximately 1500. The core focus of Hope is to empower students through Christian higher education to serve the Church and impact the world for Christ.
The student body is diverse and distinctive, with over 60 different countries represented as well as thirty states. Majors offered are practical in scope and designed to spiritually, professionally and academically nurture the individual and their personal growth.
Residential living on campus is available to all students and a wide range of student activities including athletic, social, academic, and cultural events are scheduled throughout the year for both graduates and undergraduates.
Location:
Hope is located in the central part of Southern California’s Orange County with warm and sunny moderate temperatures throughout the school year. Adjacent to major freeways, students can enjoy California’s mountains, beaches, desert, and culture. Los Angeles is 30 minutes away and amusement parks, beaches, sporting events, shopping, and dining are minutes from campus. Surrounded by both private and state universities, the population of the area is young and diverse.

Schedule
Classes are offered on a 16-week semester comprised of two 8-week modules. Ministry programs have 8-day J-sessions (January/June) and are accompanied by 12 weeks of on-line instruction. On-line programs are available every 8 weeks in Management and Education.
Admission Requirements
The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) seeks well-rounded students committed to learning, serving and personal growth. Minimum cumulative GPA for full admission into SGS is 3.0. Probational admission may be granted for those with GPA’s between 2.5-2.9, with approval from the Dean. A maximum of 9 graduate level transfer units may be accepted with approval from the Department Chair.

Note: The Education Department requires an additional letter of reference. Applicants for the MFT program require an interview and must answer a set of questions in lieu of statement.
International students must submit a minimum TOEFL score of 550 along with a financial bank statement and letter of support.
