The Past
A.T. Still University is home of America’s first osteopathic medical school, the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Founded by Andrew Taylor Still, M.D., D.O., in 1892, ATSU is a provider of high-quality graduate programs and instills in students the knowledge, integrity, compassion, and hands-on experience needed to address the needs of the whole person - body, mind, and spirit.
The Present
ATSU operates Arizona’s first and only dental school, the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health, which opened in 2003.
ATSU includes the Arizona School of Health Sciences, which offers doctoral programs in Audiology and Physical Therapy, as well as master’s degree programs in Athletic Training, Occupational Therapy, and Physician Assistant Studies.
ATSU also includes the School of Health Management, offering online master’s degree programs to people around the world in public health (M.P.H.), geriatric health (M.G.H.), and healthcare administration (M.H.A.).
The Future
ATSU has proposed another osteopathic medical school for its Mesa, Arizona, campus. A national blue-ribbon committee is being formed to integrate training in knowledge, skills, and technology with the osteopathic principles of addressing the needs of the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. Various professionals across the country are being requested to join the committee. Interested citizens are asked to consider becoming a part of building this "medical school of the future" as we name the school and various departmental chairs. Join us!
