Texas A&M University-Commerce

Your Success Is OUR Business

The Master of Business Administration degree offered by the College of Business & Technology (CBT) of Texas A&M University-Commerce prepares the graduate student for advanced management positions which demand analytic and strategic leadership solutions to an interrelated set of economic, ethical, and environmental issues. The curriculum stresses the development and use of analytical skills, for both quantitative and qualitative applications, which will assist managers in their decision-making and leadership responsibilities. A major focus of the curriculum is placed on developing and evaluating business strategy in a global environment.

Students with a traditional undergraduate degree in business can complete their program in as little as 30-hours. This highly focused management curriculum consists of a six-course Managerial Component, a two-course Information Analysis Component and a two-course Elective Component.

For those students who do not have a traditional undergraduate degree in business, the 48-hour format is appropriate. Under this curriculum design, eighteen hours of background course work in the basic areas of business activity supplement the basic 30-hour format. Minor areas of study are also possible, should the student so choose.

The CBT offers its students live-taught classes in many locations:

Dallas, Rockwall, McKinney, and Commerce. Dallas-area students represent well over half of the students in the program. The CBT also offers its students the option of completing their degree via distance learning technology. Online courses offer students the flexibility of Internet-delivered courses suited to fit their busy schedules using the eCollege platform.

With tuition costs among the lowest in the area, and all programs being accredited by the AACSB, we believe that the A&M-Commerce program provides an extremely high educational value to its students and the business community.

Texas A&M University-Commerce's Graduate Programs in Business & Technology is delivered by faculty with exceptional academic credentials and proven business experience. The CBT's graduate faculty holds doctoral degrees from leading institutions in the United States. Most have professional business experience to compliment their academic backgrounds.

Collectively, the graduate faculty brings a variety of perspectives and experiences to bear on the issues and topics addressed during the course work.

The faculty believes that their primary mission of teaching is best advanced by integrating their current scholarly activities and research into the learning experience of the M.B.A. student.
