The University of Geneva, located in the "the capital of international organizations" and recently ranked by Newsweek’s "100 Most Global Universities" as the number 1 generalist University in Continental Europe, has developed the International Organizations MBA (IOMBA) to address a major unfilled need: to train professionals to pursue careers in international governmental and nongovernmental organizations and companies that work with these institutions.
Our distinctive programme is based on three pillars: (1) theoretical and applied skills appropriate to the global and social context within which international organizations operate; (2) advanced management training; and (3) Ongoing engagement with international organizations, NGOs and social entrepreneurs.
Taught fully in English by University of Geneva professors, international officials, and an international faculty from leading universities around the world, the IOMBA exposes students to the latest theoretical and applied knowledge about international politics, economics, sociology, and law. Participants develop management skills grounded in finance, organizational behavior, interpersonal and negotiation skills, project management, and strategy. Through ongoing engagement with international and nongovernmental organizations, and a formal internship as a culmination of the programme, prospective managers are given the opportunity to directly apply these skills in relevant professional settings.
Our website, http://www.iomba.ch/, describes in detail what it is like to pursue a Geneva IOMBA. If you have additional questions, please or write us. We believe that this unique program will meet your interest in advancing your career in international organizations, nongovernmental organizations, and international business.
