Artist Scott McGregor was born and brought up in Largs, a small seaside town on the West Coast of Scotland. He found his passion to draw at an early age, and has continued with his creative talent throughout is life. Being self-taught and in his spare time, Scott has painted for over 30 years and has mastered a style of painting which is realistic and sometimes merging into impressionism. With the use of vibrant colours on his palette and depending on the painting, he applies the paint using a palette knife to get roughened texture or a brush for a more subtle approach. Now focusing on Scottish landmarks and scenery, his paintings convey an atmosphere and character, which is unique to Scotland. Scott has exhibited over the years with his originals being purchased by private collectors.
