While most courses are semester-based, many are open entry, allowing you to enroll anytime throughout the year. It is not necessary to be admitted to Colorado State University to take any course – however, most degree programs limit the number of credits that can be earned before formal admission.

Duration: Most degree programs can be completed within two to four years.
Delivery Method: Courses use online delivery, videotapes, DVDs, correspondence, or a combination of these media. Courses using DVDs and videotapes are available only to students with U.S. or Canadian addresses, or APO & FPO addresses. Online courses available globally.
Online: Colorado State uses WebCT as its online learning platform (except the College of Business which uses Embanet) for all academic courses. WebCT and Embanet provide user-friendly access to course materials, discussion groups, assignments, exams, chat, and other learner services.

Are these accredited programs?
Yes. The Higher Learning Commission, a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, provides accreditation for Colorado State University.
Does financial aid apply to distance courses?
Yes. Admitted students enrolled for at least 5 to 6 credits are eligible.
Will my transcript indicate distance delivery?
No. Your transcript will be the same as if you were an on-campus student.
Do I have to pay nonresident tuition for distance courses?
No, tuition rates for distance courses are the same for all students regardless of residency status.
