The Sharad Pawar International School, Pune will promote a global outlook through the teaching of the International Baccalaureate and Cambridge syllabi, but will naturally retain an 'Indian heart'. The following courses will be taught:
- IB Primary Years Program - For Junior School i.e. KG to Grade 6
IB PYP places emphasis on transdisciplinary, inquiry-based learning that teaches children how to learn and share knowledge. Children study a range of topics each year including science, social studies, mathematics, technological and language curricula. We also provide a strong base in sport, games and personal-social competencies.
- IGCSE Cambridge Preparation and Assessment - For Lower Middle School i.e. Classes 7&8 and For Upper Middle School i.e. Classes 9&10
IGCSE is offered by Cambridge University as a general certificate of achievement and is one of the most recognized qualifications around the world. The School offers: English, English Literature, Languages, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, Economics, Business Studies, Geography, Art, Drama and Computer Studies.
- International Baccalaureate Diploma Course - School Grade for Classes 11&12
This is a demanding two-year course of study that is recognized and accepted by elite universities around the world. Students are required to study 6 subjects, three of which will be in-depth studies. The IB Diploma is distinguished by its three additional requirements: an Extended Essay, the study of the Theory of Knowledge, and CAS activities - creativity, action and service.
